Day 19-Something you miss

SUGAR and bread!!!!

I was having some health problems and decided to go to a more natural doctor.  He told me I was too toxic and had too much fungus. (after doing several test)  So I am on a 8 week no sugar, no yeast,  & no processed food.  It is called Candida diet.  This has been very difficult.  It really limits what you can eat and I am trying SOOOO hard NOT to lose weight so that makes it even harder.  I have to eat way more often.  I actually would like to gain about 10 pounds.  (for those of you who see diet and think I am trying to lose weight, Im not)

I had company this weekend and it was a little harder to stay on the diet. I didn't do as well and I am already paying for it.  My legs started hurting again today and I felt just bad  :(   I really think I will have to really be careful and always try to stay away from sugar even after these 8 weeks.  It is amazing how yucky sugar makes me feel. 

I have found my new favorite thing called xyitol.  It is sweet like sugar, but not dangerous like all those artificial sweeteners.  It actually has health benefits and it is really good.  I have made several "sweet" things with it.  Like cheese cake that was delicious.  I felt like I had to be cheating on my diet but the great thing is , I wasn't. 

The more research I do about food and how we are what we eat., the more I am trying to change my family's diet.  I didn't realize how bad most of the food we eat is.  No wonder we have so many illnesses in America.  We eat Awful.... way too much over processed food, sugar, artificial flavors, artificial food coloring,   perseratives........

So my goal is to eat more "real food"!!!!
