Our last night at our apartment.
We closed on our house Tuesday (July 17) morning. I cleaned the house, painted Braylee's room, then rushed to the apartment to finish packing. I was so blessed that my grandparents came to visit so they could help watch the girls while we moved. They were a HUGE help and the girls had the best time playing with them. Wednesday morning we had 6 guys from church come help us move. They moved our entire apartment and set up our beds in 2 hours.
Thursday my grandparents left that morning and Rusty's sister, Kristy, and her 3 kids came that night to stay with us until Monday morning. We worked a little but mostly we hung out at the pool. It was nice to take a good break from working on the house and my girls had the best time playing with their cousins. It has been really hard on them moving away from everyone.
We wore them out at the pool :)
Kristy and the kids left Monday morning and Rusty went to get the rest of our stuff that we had in storage, More boxes to go through...
Doesn't this look fun? I have had a lot of my stuff in storage for the past 3 years. I must say it felt like Christmas going through everything.
Miss Braylee helping me "unpack"
I have worked on lots of projects and still have several left to do. Here is one that I did.
Doesn't that look so much better :) I LOVE IT!!
and picking out the color for my living room was not easy.
I think I tried 7 different shades of gray. (btw the top right one was for my desk) I didn't like any of these. After the advice of my friend Kelley I got one more sample and it was perfect!!! so
THANK YOU KELLEY IVEY for all the help. She has practically designed my house from 6 hours away. I couldn't have done it without her. She ROCKS!! :)
I used Shaker gray by Benjamin Moore in case you were wondering.
I hadn't gotten my chairs in at this point, (kelley helped me find those also :)
Thanks to my sweet father in law for helping me and Rusty paint. Rusty started it but had to leave for work so Danny helped me finish. Danny and Donna stayed with us one night while they were up this way.
Then we had VBS. Lots of fun but kept me from getting a lot done. I feel like it is taking forever for me getting my house done.
Then next week my brother, mom and Doug (he goes to my parents
church and is good with building stuff) came to bring Braylee's castle bed. Doug and Vincent left the next morning, but my mom stayed the rest of the week. My dad flew up here that Friday so he could see the girls.
Sadie LOVES her Uncle Vincent
This castle was at my mom's house and her room was a lot bigger. So for it to fit in Braylee's room they basically had to rebuild it.
I just love how it turned out. Braylee and Sadie love playing in it.
Thank you MIMI for their castle!!! We love it!!!!
