Catching up Part 1

The last couple of months have been crazy busy and I have neglected my little blog.   So I am going to try to catch up.   The middle of November Rusty went to Louisiana to go duck hunting so I asked my parents to keep us company while he was gone.   We had a great time but they wore me out. :)  I think I shopped more the few days they were here than I have in the last 4 months. We also took the girls to the zoo.

The week after they left I decided to go ahead and put my tree up.

The night we decorated the tree we had a special supper and I made Snowman pancakes and donuts.  Sweet Braylee insisted on us decorating the table. :)

We had a little program at the girls preschool.  Both my girls were so precious.

Braylee and one of her little friends Katy.

I decided to change my Christmas decorations up. I had so much fun using pinterest and make most everything.  I made these little snow globes.
 I also made our stockings

The Tuesday before Thanksgiving Rusty's twin sister and her daughter Peyton came to see us.
These girls had so much fun and I don't think they fought once the whole time they were here.  Then Wednesday Rusty's others sister and her family came up.
Sweet cousins Thanksgiving day at Mawmaw and Pawpaw's house.

That Friday my girls rode with Kristy to Mississippi.  We had a surprise birthday party for Rusty's grandmother.  Rusty's parents, his uncle, both sisters, and 2 of Rusty's cousins along with the families all followed each other there. I think there was 24 total.   I'm sure it was a fun and interesting trip.  Unfortunately Rusty had to work Friday night so we didn't get to leave till early Saturday morning.

 Looking at the photo albums.

Laurie, Mawmaw G and Rusty.
She turned 92.  She had everyone of her grandchildren but two there.  It was such a special surprise.
We all stayed in a hotel that night after the party.  Great memories.   It was so sad having to say goodbye to everyone especially Laurie and Peyton.  They live in Utah and we don't get to see them near like we would like to.

The next day since we were so close we went to see my family for a couple of days.   While we were there we went to the Christmas parade I grew up going to. The girls loved it.

On the way home we stopped by Duck Dynasty place.  That was a lot of fun and we
got to see Mrs kay from a distance :)

Halloween 2013

We have had such a fun week with several Halloween activities. Thankfully no more trick or treating though.  This mommy is tired of candy!!! :)  The girls' first time to dress up was last Saturday at our  Trunk or Treat at our church.  Thankfully the rain held off until we got home.

You can see the storm rolling in

This past Monday we went Trick or Treating at the Christian Care Center.   I know those ladies enjoyed seeing all these kiddos dressed up.

Sadie and one of her best buds Bennett.

Then Thursday they dressed up again at our Preschool Parade and Party.

Lining up for the Parade we did for the Ladies Bible Class and Parents.

(This was in my class for the 2 year olds)

Then we went Trick or Treating last night in our neighborhood which wasn't my favorite.  I wasn't too fond of some of the decorations we saw. Too scary for my babies. :(

Hope everyone had a fun safe Halloween!!!

Little SurpriseTrip

Two weeks ago my sweet hubby planned a little getaway for us.  We didn't have a clue about it until a few days before we left.  And then we only knew when we would be gone but not where.  If you know me... you know I love surprises.   He told me how to pack the day before so I was pretty sure I knew where.  :)    We stayed in a cabin near Beaver's Bend State Park.   Exactly where I was hoping.

We got there Sunday and tried to fit as much as possible in because it was suppose to rain the next day.    We went hiking by the water which was so beautiful.   One of my favorite things is hearing the water.  It was so peaceful and the weather was perfect.

 At our cabin.

My little hikers.  They actually loved it.

Didn't Bray do great at taking this picture. :)

Poor Sadie was so tired at this point.  I carried her for most of the way back.

One of my favorite pictures of her.

Nothing like sitting with my family by a campfire roasting marshmallows
. .
When we woke up Monday it was raining :(   It rained the entire day.  So we made the best of it and went to this neat museum and went to some little shops.

Little stinker wouldn't let me take too many pictures of her on this trip.

Unfortunately it rained all day Monday night and Tuesday.    But we still had fun.  We enjoyed getting in the hot tub and played lots & lots of family games.  We definitely will go back soon.

Thank you so much for surprising us with that trip Rusty.    You did GREAT!!!  We all had so much fun and can't wait to go back.     We love you so much!!!!!
